The D.C. area will begin the workweek with active weather, including fog, scattered storms, and the potential for lightning, damaging winds, and large hail.
If the weekend rain and hail weren’t enough, get ready for more wet weather. Monday morning begins wet and foggy, setting up a potentially dangerous commute, 7News First Alert Meteorologist Eileen Whelan reports.
“Keep the umbrella handy,” Whelan said. “It’s cloudy this morning with some patchy fog.”
There will be isolated showers and thunderstorms during the day. Highs will be in the low to mid-70s with high humidity. Some of the storms will be severe with strong winds and hail.
Showers should diminish by Monday night. It will remain cloudy with areas of patchy fog and lows in the low 60s.
Rain lingers into Tuesday, but some clearing is expected by the afternoon as humidity begins to drop. Wednesday appears sunnier and more comfortable.
