Soggy Start to the Week: Unstable Weather Pattern

Get ready for damp and cool conditions throughout the area during the next few days, with multiple rounds of showers sweeping through.

Today: A steady northeast wind will hold temperatures in the mid-50s, with on-and-off showers throughout the day.

Tonight through Tuesday: Additional showers and isolated storms are expected, with the possibility of isolated downpours. While there will be dry periods, 1 to 3 inches of rain are expected between Boston and Providence, including areas north and west. Southeastern Massachusetts will see less rain due to longer precipitation breaks. Tuesday’s highs will reach the 60s.

Wednesday: A few scattered showers or storms may occur, but most of the day looks dry.

Thursday: An isolated shower is possible, though the day is expected to remain mostly dry.

Friday into Saturday: Rain returns Friday afternoon into early Saturday. However, Mother’s Day is shaping up to be dry and pleasant.

Looking Ahead: Next week appears to bring a generally drier trend.
